  • About Me

dannyboy Daniel Manus was the Director of Development for Clifford Werber Productions (Cinderella Story) where he was responsible for finding, creating and developing projects in all genres and worked closely with writers at all levels to do so. He was instrumental in developing the Amanda Bynes starrer Sydney White and the independent dark comedy Just Add Water, starring Dylan Walsh, Jonah Hill, Justin Long and Danny DeVito. CWP recently set up a larger budget family fantasy/ adventure project at United Artists which Daniel is attached to co-produce.

He is also attached to produce several projects independently including the teen comedy “Dreams of an Aspiring Romantic,” starring Emily Osment (Hannah Montana), the historical comedy “Roanoke Jamestown: the Untold True American Story,” and the racial drama “Strange Fruit,” written and to be directed by J.S. Cardone (Prom Night, The Covenant).

Previously, Daniel was a Development Consultant for Eclectic Pictures (deal with Millennium Films) and the Director of Development for Sandstorm Films (The Forsaken), an independent production company with a first look deal at Sony Screen Gems and a development deal with Top Cow Comics, which Daniel spearheaded. He was instrumental in developing a number of films for the company including The Covenant, 8MM2, and Sniper 3. While there, he also served as production and post production coordinator on all of Sandstorm’s films and was the Casting Assistant for the animated film Nutcracker and MouseKing.

Daniel has been working as a freelance script consultant for companies such as ScriptShark, Script Coach and Script Connect for the last few years before launching No BullScript. He also brings a new voice to the classroom, teaching courses to screenwriters around the country at events such as the Screenwriting Expo, Great American Pitchfest, Santa Fe Screenwriting Conference, Willamette Writers Conference in Portland, Fade-In Pitchfest, Final Draft Pitchfest, etc.

Daniel is currently a contributing writer and columnist for The Business of Show Institute. He has written articles published in Script Magazine and Screenwriters and Playwrights Market and hosted a show on Virtual Channel Network. Daniel has participated in dozens of pitchfests around the country and Canada and is currently writing a book that will serve as a “No B.S. Guide to Pitchfests for Writers.”

Raised on Long Island, NY in an amusingly dysfunctional household, he holds a BS degree in Television with a concentration in Screenwriting from the Ithaca College Park School of Communications.
